We lived in Perranuthnoe from 2001 to 2017 originally living in Morlais before moving ‘up the lane’ in order to let Morlais as a holiday cottage. Our second holiday let in the village is The Little Place. We thoroughly enjoy the sense of community the village offers and were sad to leave it. We have now moved to St Just where we offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation at Tremorran which is our home and our art gallery.
Perranuthnoe is a village cove with a lovely sandy beach. The village is just 7 miles east of Penzance on the south Cornish coast in Mounts Bay between Marazion and Prussia Cove with, the award winning Victoria Inn, one of the oldest pubs in Cornwall. It is also an ideal base for a proper Cornish holiday with opportunities to walk and explore the Cornish heritage of the Penwith area as well as experience some of the very best Cornish food and drink. The iconic St Michaels Mount is a short walk away.
In addition to The Victoria Inn the village also has a small craft centre consisting of shops offering basic provisions, arts and crafts and the Peppercorn Café serving traditional fayre as well as foods with a Mediterranean base. There is also a beach café called The Cabin offering drinks, snacks, ice creams, etc.
Further historical information about the village can be found in the church. The village also has its own website: www.perranuthnoe.com which is a great way to keep up to date with all the activities in the village including news, events, notices, accommodation availability etc.
